Privacy Statement

1.      Introduction

Pensacola Energy respects the privacy of every individual who visits the Pensacola Energy web site.  Accordingly, this privacy statement has been developed to inform you about Pensacola Energy’s information collections, usage and disclosure practices.

2.  Anonymous vs. Personally Identifiable Information

Anonymous Information refers to information that cannot be tied back to a specific individual.  This includes information about your internet browser, operating system, and the date and time of your visit.  Personally Identifiable Information refers to information that tells Pensacola Energy who you are, such as your name, phone number, mailing address.

When you access the Pensacola Energy web site, the Site software automatically collects the internet protocol (IP) address of the computer through which you are connected to the internet.  This web site also automatically collects information about your internet browser, operating system, the date and time of your visit, and the path which you followed immediately before accessing this Site.  All the information that is automatically submitted to Pensacola Energy is considered Anonymous Information.

Pensacola Energy makes no representation whatsoever about any other web site which you may access through this one.  Linked Sites are operated independently from Pensacola Energy.  In addition, a link to a non- Pensacola Energy web site does not mean that Pensacola Energy endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content, or the use, of such web site.  It is up to you to take precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use is free from such items as viruses, worms, Trojan horses and other items of a destructive nature.  In no event will Pensacola Energy be liable to any party for any direct, indirect, special or other consequential damages for any use of this web site, or on any other hyperlinked web site.

Our web site supplements pages with information from third parties and links to other Sites.  Pensacola Energy is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of web sites other than our own.  However, this Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. A note to Children and Parents:  Pensacola Energy intends that this Site be used by adults.  Children: before sending any information about yourself over the Internet to us or anyone else, be sure to ask your parents for permission.  Parents:  Pensacola Energy recommends that the parents take an active role in their children’s use of the internet.  We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their personal information while using the Internet.  If a child has provided us with personal identifiable information, a parent or guardian of the child may contact us at the e-mail address provided below if they would like this information deleted from our records.  We will use reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our databases. 

11. No Liability for Acts of Third Parties

Although we will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information, transmissions made by means of the internet cannot be made absolutely secure.  Pensacola Energy will have no liability for disclosure of information due to errors in transmissions or unauthorized acts of third parties.

12.  Your Rights

13. Your Acceptance of These Terms

By using this Site, you accept our Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this Site. Your continued use of the Pensacola Energy Site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.

The effective date of this privacy policy is July 1, 2008.  Pensacola Energy reserves the right to update this policy from time to time, and it is your responsibility to check for any such update.
